St. Francis has a vibrant, active chapter of the international
Anglicans for Life.
Besides attending monthly meetings (3rd Sunday, following the 11:00
service), the dedicated and enthusiastic members participate
in outreach activities and other projects. Membership is open
to everyone in the parish.
An ongoing project is the collection of disposible diapers in
sizes 3, 4, 5 and 6 for the
Austin Pregnancy Resource Center, one of this
chapter's main ministry partners. Parishioners (and others) who would
like to contribute diapers are requested to leave them on the table in
the narthex.

Embrace the Journey
|
The St. Francis Chapter of Anglicans for Life
will be sponsoring an educational course
entitled Embrace the Journey. This
course consists of eight weekly sessions of
approximately one hour each. It will begin on
the first Sunday of Lent, February 18th, and
with breaks for Palm Sunday and Easter, will
conclude on April 22nd. The sessions will
start after each Sunday's social hour.
Embrace the Journey will employ DVD
presentations, written materials, and
discussion with the goal of helping the
participants understand and apply God's word
to end-of-life issues. Importantly, it will
help each participant personally prepare for
end-of-life issues by completing the booklet
Finishing Life God's Way, which you
will be provided at the first session.
If you would like to participate in Embrace
the Journey, please complete the sign-up
sheet on the table outside the nursery. There
is a $10.00 fee for materials, which we must
have by February 4th at the latest to meet the
lead time for ordering materials. You may give
your fee to either Rory Motl or Steve McCown.
Make checks payable to St. Francis.

Anglicans for Life members bring a bit of
Christmas cheer to some needy children at the APRC (December, 2014) |
|
|
The St. Francis Chapter of Anglicans for Life wanted to adopt a family from
the APRC this Christmas and appealed to the congregation for funds. Enough
money was donated so that six families could be adopted and 18 children
blessed with Christmas gifts!! A wonderful day was had by all as the
families came to the center to receive their gifts from Father Len, Nancy,
Phoebe, and Susan. Each family was covered with prayer.
